About Us
The ROADS Foundation Ltd is a not for profit organisation that was established in November 2006 to provide training and development opportunities for young people in regional communities across Western Australia by assisting them with traineeship opportunities in the civil construction industry.
The Foundation is a company limited by guarantee and governed by a Board of Directors. The Board is made up of representatives from interested organisations and representatives including Main Roads WA, the Department of Education and Training, the WA Local Government Association and civil contractors.
ROADS operates as a coordinating / management group. We link in ‘job-ready’ trainees with ‘trainee-ready’ employers in the road construction industry. We do this by providing education, training and support to both trainees and employers.

To support regional young people through:
- Working collaboratively to provide opportunities for personal and social development
- Facilitating traineeships and employment in civil construction
To support the civil construction industry through:
- Addressing skills shortages by facilitating youth traineeships
- Promoting and facilitating a culture of training and development
